What professional clothing can I wear in the heat?
Q. I'm walking all over the city today soliciting grocery stores for a non-profit group. Obviously I want to look professional while doing this but the problem is it's supposed to be a sunny, hot, humid day (85F). Would it be acceptable to wear a sleeveless top with a knee length skirt? Any other tips to help me look polished without suffering in the heat? Thanks everyone.

A. Keep it cotton. Cotton breathes the most and is lightweight. You can look completely professional in a cotton blouse and skirt. Unfortunately to look professional hose are going to be a must. I always keep on hand those thigh high hose on hand that stay up by themselves. Trust me...they are much cooler.

What are professional women looking for in a life coach?
Q. I am a life and business coach. I worked as an attorney for twenty years. I believe that there are many boomer professional women out there that are well educated and have pursued their careers diligently. Now, about 15 to 20 years into it, they feel burnt out and they feel afraid. They rely on their jobs and the income it provides but they are not happy. I want to hear what issues they are facing and what is on their minds.

How do you become a professional dancer?
Q. To hip hop dancers, ballet dancers, any dancers, How did you become a dancer? While I am not planning to be a dancer, I am very interested to know how you become a professional. Like, what are the good dancing schools, how many years does training take, when did you start dancing, and so on. Also, what kind of career opportunities do different types of dancers have? If you are a professional dancer, or even if you are not, please post an answer. :) Not that kind of dance. A. The biggest thing is to practice as much as possible and get yourself out there. Taking classes in various types of dance is important to find what you are good at and gain skill. But after that, a lot of it has to do with natural skill (not everyone can be a dancer) and motivation. It is a lot of hard work, as you spend hours practicing and have to regularly audition (to get your name out there and start performing). While I was trained in various dance forms, I currently choreograph and so I tend to make new moves and use different styles in my work, and I don't always use classically trained dancers because sometimes the best dancers are those who have the natural talent and had the motivation to learn on their own and keep trying.
