what is the cost of a LA Fitness membership?

A. if its a new club they probably have some low fees for early signers. i think wholly free would have been before it opened. if you keep your eyes peeled they will have promotions from time to time .. but so long as you aren't paying too much it probably makes more sense to join when you want rather than when they are looking for more members.

But you should call and ask about the specials sometimes they have really good ones. Just give a fake phone number if you don't want them calling you every 10mins =)

How to cancel LA Fitness membership in a legal letter???
Q. I bought a Pro Results personal training contract at LA Fitness. They Gave me a 5 day guarantee that i could cancel it in. The catch is that the contract says i have to mail a letter to the Home Base of La fitness in Irvine, CA. As long as the letter is post marked before midnight of of the 5th day, is it still legally inside the 5 guarantee??? Also, I read online that La fitness often claims to never receive these letters form members and ignores them. What can I do to ensure they don't try to pull this on me? And lastly, exactly what do i have to write in the letter in terms of information. And should I threaten to get my lawyer involved etc to get them the cancel it on time??

A. The best way to get Gym discounts is to walk in and talk to a trainer and or salesperson. 90% of the time they will work on the plans with you. SOmetimes they will waive the initiation fee if you sign a year committment. Sometimes they will just cut the fee in half. It never hurts you to try anything. Tell them you are looking for a gym with a $50 initiation fee and see if they bite.

A. it depends on when you buy it if you buy it in the spring when sales are down it will be cheaper. My friend bought a 12 month for $100. if you buy one in the fall like everyone else they will charge you more. But you can talk them down, not everyone at the gym is paying the same amount for the memebership.
