A. Definition: Hypokinetic diseases are conditions related to inactivity or low levels of habitual activity. The term first originated in the book: Hypokinetic Disease (Kraus & Raab, 1961). It describes many of the diseases and conditions associated with inactivity and poor fitness such as those conditions outlined in "Physical Activity and Health: A Report of the U.S. Surgeon General". Health problems brought about by lack of exercise have increased. Charles Corbin (an American health expert) refers to these as "hypokinetic diseases" which he says are due to lack of activity. A. Hypo means "under" or "too little," and kinetic means movement or activity. Thus, hypokinetic means "too little activity." A hypokinetic disease or condition is associated with lack of physical activity or too little regular exercise. Examples of such conditions include heart disease, low back pain, adult-onset diabetes, and obesity.

how are we going to fix our weight problem?
Q. hypokinetic diseases need to be addressed ASAP. excessive fat leads to extreme chronic problems, are how are the lower classes to pay for doctors? taxes. fat or thin we're all affected by this. people will always buy what's cheap, and the unhealthy things are pretty much always cheaper. what are we going to do about it? yeah bmoc... only problem is that it is my business. or at least it will be when i'm a tax paying adult...

A. We are going to have to start by educating the youth. We need this next generation to have a much better grasp of important nutritional fundamentals and an understanding of the importance of exercise in daily life. Too many people grow up watching tv and playing video games all day eating junk food. At least nintendo created a system that gets people up and moving a little bit but it's going to take a lot more and that's why education is so important.

A. Lv=left ventricle of the heart systolic dysfunction means that the heart can't pump effectivly.. hypokinetic = not moving or pumping effectivly.. mitral regurge= the valve can't hold blood from going in the opposite direction...(the mitral valve is the valve between the left atrium & ventricle)..this regurge might be due to the coronary artery disease... coronary arteries are the arteries that feed the heart with blood.. in this disease they are blocked, so the heart mucsle is deprived from blood..
